Kanakavalli Kanjivaram Silk Sari 21-595-HS001-02985

This sari is from Kanakavalli’s Reiya collective that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari, and a sumptuous bodied but butter soft hand feel.

This unique kanjivaram sari in deep bottle green is handwoven with mayil(peacock) and chakaram motifs in gold zari, dotted on the body. The broad border has mayil(peacock), yaanai(elephant), floral and twill patterns in gold zari; while the small border has twill and rudraksham patterns in gold zari. The pallu features a geometric band flanked by yaanai, mayil, rudraksham and stylised leaf motifs in gold zari.
